Everyone is welcome to volunteer with us regardless of citizenship or immigration status. We ask only so that we can make sure the role fits any conditions that apply to you.

If you hold a document that authorises or conditions your activities in the U.S. — for example an EAD, I-20, DS-2019, or I-797 approval notice — give its details. If none of this applies to you, leave it blank.

Copies are kept confidentially in our volunteer file and are used only to confirm your identity and any conditions on your role.

6 · What I am confirming

• I am offering this service voluntarily, without pay and without expecting pay, a stipend, a benefit, or future paid employment.
• I set my own schedule and choose the hours I work.
• I will keep beneficiary and donor information strictly confidential, use it only for my assigned tasks, and never store it on personal devices or personal cloud accounts.
• Any code, documentation or other work I create for the organization belongs to the organization.
• If my immigration status places any condition on my activities, I am responsible for confirming that this volunteer service is consistent with it, and for any reporting my status requires.
• The answers I have given above are true and complete.
